Cowgirls get the goods

My dear friend Tory, from Phoenix, visited for a few, short but very sweet hours this afternoon.
From my favorite consignment shop, Sola Lucy, where I buy 90% of my clothes, shoes and jewelry (http://www.solalucy.com/), came most of todays look: black, Tribeca shorts; tan,"clothes" cowgirl shirt; Dan Post tan boots; black tank and sparkle wire necklace. Black cowgirl hat: Target. Angel pin (on hat) from friend. Jewelry: pukka beads from Telegraph Avenue street vendor; South American pendant from friend; beads from San Francisco Ferry Plaza vendor.
Good time supplied by the love, trust, shared times and security of old friends.

Inspiration

At 79, Rita Moreno is an amazing inspiration. Saturday, I saw her new autobiographical play, Life Without Makeup @ the Berkeley Rep. She was brilliant! vibrant! lithe! powerful! and gorgeous! Little did I know when I choose to wear my new, purple, felt hat that I was going to match and pose with Rita in a similar bowler hat. It was a beautiful day. I wore a matching purple flowing jacket, purple amethyst earrings, a white strappy top, pencil thin white jeans and white, wedge sandals.
