At 70 I am blessed to feel like a teenager & occasionally an 8 yr. old. My priorities are self-care: of physical body, spiritual journey, family & community, emotional & financial well-being. I eat & drink well, exercise/play often, love my family, dog & many friends. I help when/wherever I can, share my burdens & abundance; am dedicated to spiritual practices; live & love abundantly & count my many blessings throughout the day.
to all who nourish, love and devote themselves to two and four legged beings.
These photos are what I wore Saturday when I went to the Berkeley Rep Theater for Red - a brilliant, engaging, raw, emotional play about Mark Rothko, the Abstract Expressionist painter, during 1958-59, when he was painting the 30 Seagram Murals for the Four Seasons Restaurant in NYC. The 30, largely 8ft x 6ft, paintings never hung at the restaurant. The play is the dramatic story of why not.

As followers know, I just turned 70 and am giving a BIG party for 120 in two weeks at the Berkeley Yacht Club with many out-of-town family & friends. So… I have been & will continue to be very busy preparing for the four days of festivities. The major project for this week is to identify & digitize photos for the slide show that will be showing during the event. Reluctantly, I will not be posting for a while. I always wish there were more hours in the day because life offers so many rich, engaging & fun things to do.
Alas & alack, I cannot fit in all I love to do. For the next two weeks the Party is taking priority over my BLOG. But I will be back soon.
On Wednesday, May 2nd, my 70th birthday, my wonderful friend Ethel brought this beautiful, fragrant flower bouquet from her family & took my photo. She also made these gorgeous earrings - that are better seen in the photo below. The below shot was taken on Friday, May 4th, by my dear friend & hairdresser, Jhay when he took me for lunch at the de Young museum cafe and we ate in the gorgeous garden.
We then saw the inventive, amazing, breathtaking Jean Paul Gaultier exhibit. I will post my images from that brilliant show next. For an overview of the exhibit click on sites below:
On Wednesday, May 2, I turned 70. I am thrilled to be celebrating my 70th! I am alive, healthy, loved & loving, vital, thriving, exploring, growing, laboring and playing. I was blessed with abundant birthday greeting visits, phone calls, texts, cards, voice mails and FB wishes from family and friends. My son took me out to lunch at Chaya at the waterfront in San Francisco. He took these photos with my iPhone 4 S.
