Rio is now 2 years old. He requires daily off-leash runs that ensure I get my cardio activity. I adopted him from Homeward Bound outside of Sacramento at 9 months. He's a black lab/Great Dane mix. http://homewardboundgoldens.org/
He's sweet and loving and very powerful. He still requires daily training. Rio wears a colorful bandana every day.
But now Rio obeys: heels, sits & comes when called even when he'd rather chase that squirrel or cat. He plays well with other dogs, no matter how big or small. We fostered a 4 pound Chihuahua, Dino, for a month last year and they played famously.
